About

Margaret Whitney, M.D., NCMP, came to Dell Medical School from the Emory University School of Medicine, where she completed an advanced pelvic surgery fellowship. She received her medical degree from The University of Texas Health Sciences Center and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, where she was appointed administrative chief resident.

Whitney has special expertise in the areas of vulvar disorders, menopause and gynecologic surgery. She is a certified menopause practitioner through the North American Menopause Society. In 2016, Whitney was awarded the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists award for Recognition of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology during residency. She has served on both inpatient and outpatient quality committees and is committed to improving health outcomes for women.

Whitney enjoys travel, anything outdoors and exploring Austin by bike in her free time.
